Personal Statement

I have dyslexia and have learned how to use it to my advantage.  This difference has actually helped me grow as an individual as I have had to persevere and work extremely hard on my academics.  Dyslexia has taught me to have a strong work ethic.  I know how to work hard for what I want.  I am committed and self-motivated and go the extra mile.  I do my best to lead by example and have been a team captain for diving and gymnastics. I give everything both academically and athletically.  I am a three-sport athlete participating in diving, gymnastics, and track, and have qualified to participate at state in all three.  Diving is my strongest sport being High School All-American and a two-time State Champ both Sophomore and Junior year. I would like a mid to large school that has a fair amount of diversity and a strong athletic program.  I am considering a science or sports management major.
